Transport terms
Enquiries and bookings
Submission of an enquiry form or WhatsApp message does not constitute a confirmed booking until Bike Taxi accepts the job and payment and arrangements are confirmed. The route, motorcycle details, collection and delivery arrangements, price, payment terms and any storage must be agreed before work begins. If plans change, contact us promptly; any cancellation or storage charges must be disclosed and agreed, subject to applicable law.
Insurance and responsibility
Do not assume that your normal motorcycle policy automatically covers a third-party transporter. Ask your insurer to confirm the cover and any conditions before accepting a quotation. Bike Taxi cannot confirm another insurer’s cover or handle an insurance claim on your behalf.
The absence of insurance does not remove Bike Taxi’s legal duties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence, or limits rights under applicable consumer law. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver of claims.
Preparing your motorcycle
Provide accurate make, model, dimensions and condition details. Tell us about faults, leaks, non-running condition, locked or seized wheels, modifications and loading restrictions. You must own the motorcycle or have authority to arrange its transport. Remove loose personal belongings unless carriage has been agreed.
Collection, delivery and storage
Agree accessible collection and delivery points and authorised contacts. We operate by collection and delivery and do not receive customers at our private base. Where overnight storage is needed, its arrangements and charges must be agreed. Discuss any existing damage before loading and any concern at delivery as soon as reasonably possible; this does not create a deadline that overrides your legal rights.
Questions and concerns
